Mirror or the Maker

Who gets to tell you who you are?

Every day, we encounter “mirrors” that reflect something back at us—our appearance, success, failures, social media, relationships, and even our own thoughts. But Psalm 139 reminds us that our identity isn’t found in what the mirror says. It’s found in our Maker.

God knew you before you knew yourself. He intentionally created you, knows you completely, and calls you wonderfully made. And He didn’t just create you—He gave your life purpose.

So this week, ask yourself: Am I listening to the mirror or the Maker?

Because the mirror can show you what you see. Only the Maker can tell you who you are.
